Our Formation:

BCLR's inception in September 1993 preceded South Africa's political freedom by some six months. The firm was premised on fundamental synergies: a common vision to develop a differentiated corporate law firm offering specialised knowledge, superior, personalised service and added value; and, a united belief among the founding partners in the potential of a free, globally incorporated South Africa.

We are delighted that the political and economic evolution of the company and the growth of the firm in the years following have affirmed these early assumptions.

Our Network:

We are the South African member firm of Interlaw, an international association of more than sixty independent law firms in one hundred and twenty business centres worldwide. Interlaw gives our clients direct access to competent and readily accessible local lawyers in all major trade centres. Members of our firm also belong to various international legal associations and play leading roles in the International Bar Association.
